It looks like branch-1 precommit is still broken, we don't have a JIRA for
it yet though. The fix isn't as straightforward there so it will take a
little more time. Thank you to Ted Yu for bringing this to my attention.

And huge thank you to Duo, Misty, Sean, and Peter for their parts to
resolve the original issue. It is a great example of the community working
together.
