Hello Team, With 40-odd commits to the branch since the last release, it's that time again. The only issue I'm actively watching is HBASE-26291 ; if there are others I should be aware of, please speak up. I'd like to prepare the first release candidate next week. In order to avoid inconsistencies between the release branch, JIRA, and our release notes, please stay tuned for a "push freeze" period for that branch.
Related, I'd like to revive previous threads "[DISCUSS] Updating the 'stable' pointer to 2.4.2" [0] and "[DISCUSS] EOL 2.3" [1].
