There is something obviously wrong with the maven central itself or with my
understanding of the way synchronization between ASF repository and maven
central works
The project pom file and the corresponding md5 / sha1 are clearly out of sync
which is evident by different time stamps of the files

I re-deployed the pom metadata to the ASF repository to correct the problem but
for some reason updated files do not get picked up by repo1.maven.org

What is absolutely peculiar is that maven metadata did change on the maven
central side.
