omicron created HIVE-6544:
-----------------------------

Summary: hive cli or beeline can support multi users when kerberos
is enabled
                 Key: HIVE-6544
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HIVE-6544
             Project: Hive
          Issue Type: Improvement
          Components: Authorization, CLI, HiveServer2, JDBC
    Affects Versions: 0.12.0
         Environment: hive 0.12 kerberos 1.11
            Reporter: omicron

in hive version 0.12, when kerberos is enabled , if the local system has no
kerberos ticket cache, beeline can not execute successfully. is this can
resolved in next version? if kerberos is disabled, we can do this for multi
user, " beeline -u 'jdbc:hive2://localhost:10000/hivedb' -d
'org.apache.hive.jdbc.HiveDriver' -f /home/hive -n xxx -p xxx" and when
kerberos is enabled, can we do this just like " beeline -u
'jdbc:hive2://localhost:10000/hivedb' -d 'org.apache.hive.jdbc.HiveDriver' -f
/home/hive -n xxx/[email protected] -p /home/xxx.keytab"?
