Whopsie on Darwin/Mac OS X 10.2.1... :-(

Just tried to compile on Darwin/Mac OS X 10.2.1, and 2.0.43 doesn't want to
build modules (darrrn)... It simply copies the .la file and doesn't even
think about creating a .so...

Will look into it... :-(
