Hi all, I just followed up on this thread after noticing the detail of the donation. Do you know that there is the possibility for targetted donations at Apache? A donation can be targeted at a PMC.
I personally definitely can understand if anyone could use any form of additional income. I'd like to opt-out of this. Also do I think it might be an excessive amount of work to actually distribute funds like that. So I would be in favor of using it for Project-Swag, Meetups etc. instead. Everyone who is in the community can get a part of the money (With regard to how to pay people around the world, let's put it aside now). Maybe it is not too much, but I think it will be very meaningful. So, I'd like to start a discussion, to decide, - how to define the contributors. Maybe: All persons that did one of the following things: submit PRs, have public talks to introduce IoTDB, other ways to popularize IoTDB. - how to assign the quota.
