[ http://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/JCR-352?page=comments#action_12442107 ] Jukka Zitting commented on JCR-352: -----------------------------------
> When will Jackrabbit upgrade to Lucene 2.0? I just looked at the JCR 1.1 > source code in Subversion, > and it is still dependent on Lucene 1.4.3, invoking deprecated methods that > have been removed > from Lucene 2.0. Yeah, I decided to postpone the upgrade (see http://article.gmane.org/gmane.comp.apache.jackrabbit.devel/8650) since there was no patch available early enough before the release. It looks as if the upgrade will require just minor code modifications, so it shouldn't be too hard to create a patch for this. See the related LUCENE issue for hints on how to work around the problem mentioned above. I'll do the upgrade eventually in any case, but since I have no immediate personal itch to do that, the fastest way to make the upgrade happen is to contribute a patch. :-) > Upgrade to Lucene 2.0 > --------------------- > > Key: JCR-352 > URL: http://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/JCR-352 > Project: Jackrabbit > Issue Type: Improvement > Components: indexing > Affects Versions: 1.0, 1.0.1, 0.9 > Environment: All > Reporter: Michael Young > Assigned To: Jukka Zitting > Priority: Minor > > We would like to upgrade to Lucene 1.9.1.
