Hi All
As Cindy McNullen's thread on the users list demonstrated (
http://mail-archives.apache.org/mod_mbox/jena-users/201308.mbox/%[email protected]%3e)
some users did not get the message about SDB deprecation. I have updated
the SDB page of the website to note our decision about deprecation and
recommend usage of TDB instead.
This is currently just in staging -
http://jena.staging.apache.org/documentation/sdb/index.html
Please review the text I added and adjust as deemed appropriate.

I reworded it to emphasis "maintenance only" and "not actively
developed" as takne for the mail message.
"deprecation" is a shorthand for us but someone may read in different
ways. We do not currently state it will be removed, only it might be.
(And there are developers familiar with it ... all too familiar!)
In italics:
-----------
Use of SDB for new applications is not recommended.
This component is "maintenance only".
TDB is faster, more scalable and better supported than SDB.
