Andy Seaborne commented on JENA-1851: ------------------------------------- Thanks both. Just wanted to make sure it isn't going to impede users and it's "just a regular software upgrade". There is an issue with ES version 6.4.2 (Jena 3.14.0) in that it does not build+test with JDK13. Marco said that goes away with this upgrade. It's good to have things building ahead of base version - it signals early that something will need to be done and also because many (most in my experience) people run up-to-date LTS JDKs for security reason. So they are running Java 11 (current LTS) even if we build for Java8. > Update Apache Lucene to 7.7.2 and ElasticSearch to 6.8.6 > -------------------------------------------------------- > > Key: JENA-1851 > URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/JENA-1851 > Project: Apache Jena > Issue Type: Task > Components: Text > Affects Versions: Jena 3.14.0 > Reporter: Andy Seaborne > Assignee: Andy Seaborne > Priority: Major > Fix For: Jena 3.15.0 > > > Discussion on > [dev@|https://lists.apache.org/thread.html/r84957d1bb54342ba43bd38f507b5a640ceebb1b2629fb8eeba35fdc1%40%3Cdev.jena.apache.org%3E]. > Getting ES updated will mean that it works for JDK13 onwards. -- This message was sent by Atlassian Jira (v8.3.4#803005)
