Arturo Bernal commented on JSPWIKI-1174:
----------------------------------------

Before anybody implements this, a question about what an excerpt should be.
ReferringPagesPlugin only produces the list of links today. Options: the first
N characters of the text of each referring page, or a part of the page marked
by the author, as the named excerpts of Confluence mentioned in the
description. The first one needs no change in the pages, the second one needs a
markup or plugin to mark the excerpt. I have not implemented anything.

> Display excerpts along with the page name/link for the ReferringPagesPlugin

> Have you considered displaying excerpts along with the page name/link
> for the ReferringPagesPlugin ? It's something I could use. See
> [https://encyclopaedia-wot.org/Wiki.jsp?page=Warder]
> for an example. I'd
> like to use ReferringPagesPlugin but don't want to lose that extra
> information that I'm displaying.
> I know Confluence has that ability with their Content By Label. They
> even have _named_ excerpts, but I don't know if I need that.
