Hi Luke, This gets a +1 from my end. I believe non-binding because if I understand it correctly, binding votes for releases are only issued by PMCs ( https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/KAFKA/Release+Process#ReleaseProcess-Afterthevotepasses ).
