Thanks for the vote! We have 2 (+1 binding : Chia-Ping and Omnia ) and 1
(+1 non-binding: Vaquar) votes so far for the KIP.

*Quick Summary:*
The KIP proposes *exposing all 7 metrics from /proc/self/io* instead of the
current 2 (*read_bytes and write_bytes*) with the *5 additional*
metrics (*rchar,
wchar, syscr, syscw, cancelled_write_bytes*) that would enable operators to
diagnose *cache effectiveness, write amplification, and I/O pattern
inefficiencies *directly from Kafka's JMX.
The change is purely additive and backward compatible.

I would request the rest of the community members to review and vote, and
if there are still more suggestions and a need for discussion I am open to
it.
