Thanks for running the release. I performed the following validation:
* Verified checksums (md5/sha1/sha512) and GPG signatures for all release
artifacts
* Built from source and ran unit tests for core, clients, streams and
connect
* Downloaded the binaries
* Ran the broker quickstart
* Ran Kafka Streams WordCount quickstart in both classic and the
new streams group protocol (KIP-1071) modes
* Downloaded and ran both Docker images (apache/kafka and
apache/kafka-native),
* Same quickstart checks against each, both protocol modes for streams
* Did some evaluations of 8 of the bug fixes beyond the unit test suite
(Streams e2e-latency metric, ListDeserializer truncation handling,
TopologyTestDriver record context, concurrent
removeStreamThread/REPLACE_THREAD)
I think the quickstart needs to updated to contain the correct version, it
still lists 4.2.0
