+1 I was able to build and test this RC1 on CentOS 7.6 and 7.9 in release mode with only two failures: master-test and tablet_server-test. Unsetting KUDU_HOME, which is normally set in my .zshrc solved these issues (web UI translation doesn't kick in this way), so this is also a test-only bug.
I also ran the Java test natively on CentOS and using the kudu-binary artifacts both on CentOS and MacOS, and tested the kudu-client JARs using the Kudu examples. Aside from some test failures also reported by others, I had no problems. Thanks everyone for taking the time to test this RC1 and vote. As we have 4 binding +1s and two non-binding +1s with no -1s of either type, I'm going to go ahead with the release. - Attila
