[l10n-dev] Translation of DB field IDs

Some of the messages that one can translate as part of the localisation 
are the predefined field ID names used by the database wizard for 
creating a database.

We have translated them and have found two things that could be issues.
1) The translated names of the fields do not display correctly, some 
specific letters are missing from the names (we are checking this in the 
gsl list).
2) The database does not accept all the fields in Khmer. When using the 
English field names there is no problem, but when the interface is 
translated, the Wizard stops working. Does anybody know if field names 
can be utf-8? or must they be ASCII?
