I checked again with some folks over here whether it is possible to
export a list of KeyIDs to the community.
Here is the outcome:
1. it is possible but someone would have to program it.
2. the IDs could be obtained from the KeyID sdf files supplied by Ivo
3. the database will be EOLed at some point in the future and thus it
does not make sense to implement new features against it.
It would take about a week to implement the export.
Someone will have to export the file on a regular basis and make it
available to the public.
The IDs would need to be held current/matching whenever needed.
A script would be needed to merge the IDs into the sdf file.
So there is quite some overhead even if the IDs were supplied compared
to an Id which can be generated independently.
But the main point is that sooner or later the database will disappear
anyways and the process has to change then.
Another goody is that the dependency on some centralized service (the
database) would be broken so that everybody can build independently.
