Hi,
We in the Danish project would like to start using Pootle for
translation. Please create the proper project(s) for us.
We hope that we can be up running from 3.3 or soon after.
Yes, sure.
I am the manager of the project (user: lodahl).
So far we have been using Pootle for translation of the extension
website only, so we are newbees. Regarding translation of the program,
We find some unclear details, specially regarding which steps in the
process we are responsible for and which Oracle/Sun are taking care
of. This wikipage
http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/wiki/New_Translation_Process_%28Pootle_server%29
seems to be outdated and unclear.
There is a Pootle user's guide which has the most recent information on
how to use the tool:
http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/wiki/Pootle_User_Guide
Can you give us a quick instruction on our responsibilities?
Sun/Oracle will update the Pootle content and download the translated
content at translation deadlines. No need to deliver sdf via issue any
more. Translation deadlines are as usual posted to the d...@l10n list and
- in case needed - I add a few notes for the Pootle users.
Another thing is, that Pootle itself has been translated into Danish.
We can only suggest changes to the Danish language. We have made a few
suggestions and we will probably come with further suggestions in the
future, now that we begin to use Pootle.
Just to be clear: are you talking about the translation of the Pootle
interface into Danish?
Regards,
Rafaella
