I've to add something: the "an error occured" when attempting to save metadata
was independent of the i18n issue. It simply was caused by the missing
usecase-rights.
BTW: The save of the metafields works fine and In my opinion it's a great
feature.
But I think it would be very helpful for the user to add a notice (possibly at
the bottom where the save button was before) about that
and, what was misleading, the "an error occured" message instead of a notice
why the save failed (missing permission).
So my suggestion to is to add some notice like:
if the users has the permissions: "the value of the edited (meta)field is
automatically saved when you leave the field"
if not: "you don't have the permissions to edit (change) the values".
Best regards,
Gerd
PS: today we successfully upgraded from 2.0 to 2.0.2 (with currently 5 pubs and
an active use of the great pub-template mechanism).
Yes, Lenya is really great! The more I use it the more I love it!
