After around a month of being swamped with work, I was finally able to put a little time into the ConjuGNU project this morning. In fact, I'm almost ready to put out an rc0 (with "nightly" builds coming out whenever I have time). I worked out my class-structure problem and it will be very easy to add new tenses and languages in the future. In order to be more efficient I've decided to make some kind of file for each language that will hold more information, but haven't been able to work that out in my head. Any suggestions? At the moment, ConjuGNU only conjugates a limited number of Spanish verbs. I plan to eventually have it check the correctness of the conjugation in a sentence and that will later lead into a more complete list of grammar rules. I know someone who will compile an OS X version for me, but I would really like some help for a DOS compilation. Is there anyone out there who knows how to use Cygwin well? I don't expect anything right away so any help is a big help. In the words of Linus Torvalds: "So start small, and think about the details. Don't think about some big picture and fancy design. If it doesn't solve some fairly immediate need, it's almost certainly over-designed. And don't expect people to jump in and help you. That's not how these things work. You need to get something half-way _useful_ first, and then others will say "hey, that _almost_ works for me", and they'll get involved in the project." So I will continue to give (very) infrequent updates here until I have something that's half-way useful. Cheers, Luke ConjuGNU Project Lead (and so far, the only member of the project) --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] |
