The page has been 'fixed' - it does not include the link at the top and has more content to be consistent with the Welsh language descriptions (http://www.bangor.ac.uk/ar/cb/cysgliad.php.cy)

You're therefore welcome to include the English link somewhere on the page - perhaps in a list of external grammar checkers that aren't open source. The Irish Grammar checker Ceart could be in the same list? http://www.cruinneog.com/ceart/home.htm

Otherwise it's not clear to us as to what types of grammar checkers lingucomponent Grammar checking subproject is involved with. There's a difference between extending OpenOffice with a grammar API for external grammar checkers to use and actually integrating one into OpenOffice.org(?). (see TODO list) Clearly the former is possible for a commercial grammar checker but the latter is obviously not.

While I'm here, we haven't looked much at Klebran ( - we didn't even know about it until December last year!) but I must correct Kevin Scannell's assertion and misrepresentation of us when he says Kevin Donnelly had to start his work from scratch. This is not entirely true since the lexicon inside Klebran has incorporated the word list we GPLed for the OpenOffice.org MySpell spelling dictionary. (http://gramadoir.cvs.sourceforge.net/gramadoir/cy/README?revision=1.2&view=markup).

Cheers,
Dewi.

Here's an active link:
http://www.bangor.ac.uk/ar/cb/cysgliad.php.en?catid=&subid=3068

That link doesn't work for me: I get a page with a short text about Cysgliad but when I click on the link I get the same page again.

precisely because the Bangor software is closed source, so I'd be
happier with a link to his work, e.g.:
http://www.klebran.org.uk/index.php?lg=en

I have added that link to our page now.

 Daniel
