Peter Elst (http://www.peterelst.com) teaches some courses at Skillsmatter if you're looking for some Flash or Actionscript stuff

http://skillsmatter.com/menu/60/course/188

As you don't need CF training, there's no point me pimping our CF Admin courses, but we also offer SVN/Trac and FusionDebug/Reactor (http://www.fuzzyorange.co.uk).

Oh, and glad to see you'll be back at Scotch this year.

Thanks Mark, I've just been looking at the Highlander Flex courses, so good
to have it re-affirmed.

Conference-wise, I will be going to Scotch on the Rocks this year - it was a
toss up between that and CFUNITED, and Scotch won. :)

Hi Peter

Flex is a good skill to pick up and http://www.highlander.co.uk have a
good
reputation for training courses

Other that that it might be a good idea to pick conferences instead of
courses, which are always useful for picking up cutting edge knowledge

Theres one in London next week

Hi all,

Our director needs to budget for any training for the next year and has
asked for any potential courses/training we'd like to do.

I'm ok with ColdFusion itself, so not looking for core CF courses, but
there
are probably plenty of related/surrounding courses that could be useful.

Currently I've got four possible areas:
 - Database performance/tuning (eg: configuration, when to indexes,
sub-queries vs temp tables, etc)
 - Project Management methodologies/techniques.
 - Security & cryptography.
 - Flex / Flash / Acrobat

So, does anyone have recommendations for specific courses, or other ideas
for areas which a CF developer could seek training in?

Thanks,

Peter
