I'm going to be using cfmail to send an email newsletter. Does it matter that the domain that is running the script is NOT the same domain as the from & reply-to address configured in the cfmail tag?
Yes, you may find that some recipient mail systems reject the messages because they think the sending system is not authorised to send mail for that domain. I'm pretty sure hotmail is one, but you can test it yourself. If you have access to manage the DNS records for the domain, you can add an SPF record to tell other systems that your CF server is authorised to send mail for the domain. A lot of systems do check SPF records if they exist.
