Thanks Carl. That didn't fix my problem (I found that GUID while poking around
in the extensions.rdf file in my installation), but I suspect I would have
needed this fix eventually.

Can you point me at a working midbrowser extension? I could probably look at
such an extension and figure out what I am doing wrong. Thanks

erik

Midbrowser has its own guid. It is:

Subject: [Moblin Dev] Browser extension (add-on) porting

Greetings!

I'm trying to port an existing Firefox 2+ plugin I wrote to midbrowser. When I
attempt to install my plugin I get an "Incompatible Extension" error. I tried
changing the minVersion and maxVersion in the install.rdf to include 0.3.0.rc1
(and even all versions with a *), but that had no effect.

I am (still) using the Firefox GUID as the target application. Is there a new
GUID for midbrowser? If so, can someone point me at it?

Or, if there is a how-to on differences in writing an add-on for midbrowser
that would be appreciated as well.

Cheers,

erik
