I had this same problem after I created my own version of the moblin kernel. The problem was that X was trying to start and the Poulsbo driver was not properly loading. X would then fail and restart, over and over again.
The solution for me was to recompile (or perhaps for you just find) the psb.ko and corresponding drm.ko being used by X. If you look at the X logs somewhere under /etc/ you might see the failure. erik -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Pierre Bouffard Sent: Wednesday, January 14, 2009 9:02 AM To: [email protected] Subject: [Moblin Dev] LCD is blinking Upon startup, when I get to the ume login screen my LCD display blinks about once every second. The terminal does not accept keyboard input when the screen is black. It's kind of annoying when you're trying to enter a username and password to type one letter every second in sync with the blinking. Is there a fix for this?
