I "installed" the alpha onto a USB thumb drive using the "Image Writer" Python script (running on Ubuntu). It automatically found the USB drive and easily copied the files. Next, I booted a Compal Jax10 from that USB thumb - it was pretty fast! (I can't seem to get WiFi or the touchscreen working on that particular device?)
I was also able to boot the Acer Aspire One off the USB thumb. (Might need to change the boot sequence to recognize USB thumb drive before the SSD?)
