Those are valid points.

As for questions, I'd appreciate if someone explains what is the right approach to the in-memory configuration db graph (which is found under controller/db). It's a long-standing item on my to-do list as all these partitions, enqueues etc make it tricky to "reverse-engineer" the ideas behind the whole thing.

Roughly the same goes for Task and multi-threading within OC.

I understand these could be a low level topics outside general interest, but it would be great to have a BoF or similar on this.

Thanks,
Valentine

The more questions the better. The ideal would be no slides and all questions, answers and discussions.

No formal pre-work is required, but I would encourage anyone who is contemplating any Contrail development to spend a little time thinking about what you think your development steps will be and make a list of anything that you’re unsure about. The goal of this session is to get developers up to speed, so the more specific examples we have of either obstacles or simply things that ought to be covered in a getting started guide but aren’t will be helpful.

I’m hoping to create the beginnings of a developer FAQ based on what questions people have.

It is difficult to make predictions. Especially about the future.

Joesph, Greg:

There is not pre-work required. Just come, bring an attitude to learn things, and bring your questions.

We have few speakers identified to cover this 4-hour session.

Rudra and I will cover the Overall architecture

We have additional speakers to cover Controller, analytics, and testing areas.

I am working on getting some slides that we will use to cover the architecture.
