Ah - I was just about to report "hmmm, doesn't seem to be working". But then I
realized you separated them out and this is the lucene part only.
IMO - if you're working on these together (and esp if the original motivation
was to ultimately get the functionallity into Solr, it's simpler to keep it as
a single issue / single patch).
