my understanding for the longest time was that the control jetty/collection1
was suppose to exist for exactly this purpose -- to be a "standalone single
core" equivilent of the distributed "collection1" for the purpose of
comparisons.
but then in SOLR-2894 and SOLR-6379 miller made comments about how the control
jetty was suppose to work in cloud based test that confused me and still
confuse me and i defer you to those comments rather then trying to explain them.
[[email protected]]: can you help clarify things for Alan so he can get
these tests working w/o the legacy solr.xml support in there?
