We would like to end up there anyway, so it wouldn't be wasted effort. Same as
the control issue above, we don't handle all of this by class extension because
it's ideal, it's mainly because of compromises made when choosing which Solr
code to leverage when starting SolrCloud coding.
I talked about this change some with Greg when he was writing the
MiniSolrCloudCluster, but neither of us had the time to unravel this at the
time. As test stability and other things have improved though, hopefully this
has only gotten easier to do.
