[~epugh] I think the DiskSpaceAwareDirectory addition should be a LUCENE JIRA
to get that in first, as I imagine that might be a debatable addition at the
Lucene level. Personally, though, I think the logic for how/if to get the
disk info should be in SystemInfoHandler itself, as there already is an
instanceof check in the patch already - building upon that to include only the
Directory implementations supported for this information.
