Noble, FYI, I had already gone to bed when you sent this email, but at that point, it had been significantly less than 72 hours from the time you sent out the original RC2 VOTE email.
There are three conditions required for a release VOTE to succeed: 1. At least 72 hours must have passed since the VOTE email was sent. 2. At least 3 PMC members must +1 the release. 3. A majority of PMC votes must be +1’s FYI, in Lucene/Solr land, we regularly respin if there are any -1’s (from any voter, including non-PMC), so #3 is rarely used. RMs should read through both the ASF release policy page <http://www.apache.org/dev/release.html> as well as Lucene/Solr’s ReleaseTodo <http://wiki.apache.org/lucene-java/ReleaseTodo>. If the above is not clear in those, we should fix them.
