Well, I suspect my problem applying the patch was using the 'patch' command
rather than the `git apply` command. Y'a learn something new every day.
Anyway, precommit and test both pass. I haven't dived into the code yet, so
anybody who wants to get there ahead of me feel free, especially anyone
familair with faceting.
Otherwise I'll try to get to it by next week, but it'll be a bit of slow
slogging given that's relatively new code to me.
