Shawn Heisey commented on SOLR-12243:
-------------------------------------

I have not been following code changes on this issue. But I have been seeing
frequent failures in Solr tests even with a completely unmodified code
checkout. This is what Erick is trying to fix with his recent work on tests.

Until tests reach the point where they pass on virtually all runs, test
failures in the automatic patch validation are to be expected, and it's not
straightforward to know whether they indicate a problem in the patch. That
DOES mean that automatic patch validation isn't as useful as it could be. The
problem is known and is not being ignored.
