There will be a “Major Changes in Solr 9” page in the Ref Guide for 9.0 that
can cover the removed features and available replacements in detail, which
similar pages have done for 6, 7, and 8 so far.

I don’t think a page dedicated to deprecated features makes sense beyond the
release when the features in fact disappear, which makes the need for such a
page somewhat transient. The fact of their deprecation is mentioned in the
Upgrade Notes for the release when they are deprecated, and a notice is
prominent on each page related to the feature. With this in mind, I’m not sure
I see the need for a separate page and would have several questions: Would we
have a separate page “Deprecated Features" in 9.0 and then remove it in 9.1? Do
we carry around a page only relevant for 9.0 through each version until we
someday realize it’s out-of-date and remove it? Does this page duplicate what's
in the “Deprecations” Wiki page, or does it augment that information in some
other way? Since there would be 2 pages for deprecations, who's maintaining
both of them?
