Yea, ComDev is probably a place to discuss whether ASF wants to host some helm repo.
We are discussing how to incubate solr-operator into ASF, and since operators are a superior way to manage a complex stateful k8s application, I’m not sure what benefit there would be for the project to also maintain a Helm chart? So +1 for 3rd party github repo, managed by those who rely on it already, and perhaps mentioned in Solr RefGuide or Website. If none of the existing Solr-helm users are willing to step up and maintain the chart, then I cannot see how it would thive any better inside this project.
