it breaks my ide completely and causes the project to fail. clean
calls clean-jars
and now jars that my project depends on are gone.

often times i just call clean before i rerun a single test or
something, its just a habit
because ive been bit before when fixing bugs in X but running the test
in Y where Y depends on X
that ant/javac/whatever didnt figure out shit needed to be recompiled.

so its really frustrating at the moment.
If its really mandatory to keep this, we should make this a system
property (defaulted to off)
