What does it do for you? > it breaks my ide completely and causes the project to fail. clean calls clean-jars and now jars that my project depends on are gone. often times i just call clean before i rerun a single test or something, its just a habit because ive been bit before when fixing bugs in X but running the test in Y where Y depends on X that ant/javac/whatever didnt figure out shit needed to be recompiled. so its really frustrating at the moment.
