+1, we never started that officially (whenever I saw such a comment, I nuked
it), but nobody did it everywhere. Solr has one problem with this, as some
description "Strings" for MBeans also contain $Id$ tags.
We can add the pattern for those $Id$ and other tags to our precommit ANT
check. This would also find the offenders very quick, just change the root
build.xml to include another regex (next to nocommit,...).
