Adrien, let's keep this issue focused on the Collector working in conjunction
with SortingMP. I think the added info to diagnostics is important, to prevent
users tripping themselves. Let's also add the Sorter ID/Key, as another way to
make the collector robust.
We can deal w/ addIndexes later. If it will be modified to use MP, we'll get
that support for free; if not, we'll think about what we need to do.
