Alessandro Benedetti commented on CONNECTORS-1066:
--------------------------------------------------
Only to add more details, I want to specify I am not polemic.
Simply from a human point of view I can not find any difference between an
empty value and a null value for a field.
So from a human point of view I would like to model this concept (that is only
one) in only one way .
Technically we have the 2 options (empty and null) that in my opinion is an
ambiguity.
Simply I can not see any reason so far to introduce this ambiguity on purpose
when I can decide to simply go with the null (that is supported by solr).
I know is more philosophy but I am really curious of knowing your reasons to
introduce eventually this ambiguity :)
