----------------------------------------------
Hi Karl,
How would I do this? We are using the Apache Manifold browser and I added a new
Transformer connector of type : Metadata adjuster. I don't see where you can
hook Java code in. Can you me more details on how to implement this. I have a
service call that accepts the mimetype of a document and returns the
application type. I want to be able to pass the mimetype of the livelink
document to this service call and receive the applicationType back and create a
new field in the index with the name applicationType with the value of the
applicationType. I appreciate your help!

> We need the ability to create dynamic fields for metadata about documents in
> livelink. For example, we want to analyze the file name at ingestion time at
> determine the application type and create a field in the index called
> applicationType which is set to WORD for mimetypes of word and so on. Is
> there a hook or method available currently to be able to accomplish this type
