Karl Wright commented on CONNECTORS-915:

Actually, come to think of it, I have tried to keep versions consistent
across all solr plugins, so maybe we should start with 2.0.

Subject: RE: [jira] [Commented] (CONNECTORS-915) Remove HttpClient 4.3
deprecation warnings from Apache Solr 5.x Plugin, when it exists
A version number of 0.1 is fine. The major version increments when
something major/not backwards compatible happens.
No hurry on release; I can build artifacts if needed, but do try to get
hold of your key.

Also I chose 0.1 as a version number for this plugin. Is it a good
number for the first release? May be 1.0 is better?

> Solr 4.7.0 uses HttpClient 4.3.1 which deprecates pretty much the entire way
> you used to build httpclient instances. Lets use new API for
> integration/solr-4.x/trunk
