Dear Marketing Project,

I started participating in the OpenOffice.org Community in 2002 with an
Email to then MArketing Lead Sam Hiser suggesting that he consider
bittorrent as a p2p distrobution model. Since then, I have been involved in
different aspects of OOo including Marketing coordination, attending and
representing OOo at tradeshows, helping produce marketing collateral,
assisting in release planning, co-founding the bizdev project and other such
activities, both as a SUN employee and before and after as a volunteer.

it greatly pains and disappoints me to say that it is time for me to leave
this community. I have always tried to do well by the project, but it seems
that my efforts are no longer appreciated. I think that if this project is
to survive as more than a facade in front of the largely corporately
controlled engineering processes, it will need to learn how to better
recognize and reward volunteer contributers.

I am unsubscribing myself from OOo lists tonight, so if anyone wishes to
reach me, please address an email towards me.

I will miss many of you. If anyone in this project ever needs anything I
can offer, please do not hesitate to ask. You can reach me at
+1-650-743-2785. I am sorry our time together is ending so ubruptly. I
will continue my work elsewhere.

Goodnight and God Bless.
