Well, please, don't consider me educated, but one of the linked articles
as well as the OOo press release said something about revision of the
standard, which I got the notion of in the past that it would be an
argument for MS or not (be it pseudo or not).

Sorry for being enthusiastic. ;-)

Hmm...Microsoft supports an open-source project to write a ODF-plugin
for MS-office. That's what it is, right? So ODF is not MS-native, in
fact far away from it - it's a downlaodable plugin.

Ms will surely further promote it's Open XML behind the scenes, which is
a bit easier now, that it also "embraced" ODF.

So, yes, there's not too big news.

But then again, in fact there is...because what i read in an article a
while ago about that microsoft has a choice between beeing stubborn or
adopting to the circumstances has actually seen the adopting choice now.
It comes down to that MS is smart enought to see that their intentions
didn't get through and that they have to adopt to the market demands in
some way to keep going on.

This is not an anti-microsoft success, but it is a pro-ODF success
(although a bit limited) and even an OOo success. And it's a success for
reasonable things above private agenda things.

Isn't it?

Seriously, i might be naive, here.

André.
