Right ... I don't know exactly what that means :-)
If the incubator group all committers to podlings? in which case we are
OK; it means any commiter can (technically) update the git repo and
social pressure and oversight means the project controls what does into
the codebase.
This is a general trend in ASF and some TLP have worked this way for
some time. xPMC are responsible for checking commits (including of each
other:-) and the xPMC is responsible for project oversight, ie. legal
isues and that an appropriate checking is done.
Or ... does it mean that IPMC members in which cased we have an issue to
be worked out as podling committers and PPMC members are not IPMC members.
I checked [1] with:
(run this on people.apache.org):
list_unix_group.pl incubator
and get a long list of people that includes all marmotta PPMC/commiters.
So - it should work.
Could someone, not a mentor, confirm that?

I modified your subject line slightly (the name of the repo is
incubator-marmotta currently and would likely change to marmotta upon
graduation, so I set it to: subject-fmt = git commit [marmotta]:
%(shash)s - %(subject)s - though honestly I am not sure why the name of
the repo is needed, but it's there regardless.
