+1 Question remains: How to handle version ranges? It's not possible to deploy the resolution result as soon as version ranges need to be supported. Deploying a version range with that consumer pom means the consuming software needs to again resolve those ranges itself. Maybe make version ranges a build time feature only? That way version ranges would never get deployed in that consumer pom and would always get resolved during building using the build pom.
