Not performing CVS checkout with log option

However I registered the changelog plugin changelog always says that there are
0 entries. I checked the debug file and it does not call CVS with the log
option. Is there any way to manual force it or something like that? I ran
through the whole internet for a solution but on the Maven site there is only
the problem, not the solution.
