I've also applied the most recent patches for optional archive creation.
MJAR-28 can also be closed and hence included in release.
Also a question on dependencies, as JAR depends on snapshot versions
of maven-archiver and org.apache.maven.plugins:maven-plugins, neither
of which I have seen a vote to release.
