I think one of the "got to haves" is the ability to proxy across
artifacts even if the checksum is bad.  I know there are a couple of
patches out there to fix this but without this in the release it makes
usefulness of Archiva pretty minimal.  Other than that we have been
using the project to support our maven 2 build system for about 30
projects and an automated build system and it has worked flawlessly.  I
love the security features and would love to see more reports.

Another thing I have noticed is that the used by information does not
seem to be very accurate.  Most of the time it is only filled in if the
artifacts are in the same group.

It must go back to an alpha, and I don't think it's even close to  
being able to being released.

It's is totally unstable on central. Drawing in people to a release I  
don't think is the right thing to do.

I will respond to your previous email about the design flaws but I  
don't think a release is wise. It is totally not ready for a release  
even as an alpha.
