I'm not sure if I should open another thread for these ones.

Short update on the possibilities
1)
I tried to run/install it under qemu on xubuntu 9.04(jaunty).
However, while trying to run/install with the following command:

sudo qemu -hda moblin.img -m 256 -boot d -cdrom /dev/cdrom

there is an error:

..MP-BIOS bug: 8254 timer not connected to IO-APIC

and the installation stops.

Is it just a problem of xubuntu 9.04 or else? Should I go down with the
ubuntu version?

2) under the same xubuntu 9.04(jaunty) I tried to create a LiveCD using the
MIC2
whit the following command:

sudo moblin-image-creator --config=netbook-core.ks --format=livecd
--cache=mycache

at the beginning it looks fine, but after a short while an error occurs:
Unable to create image: Unable to download from repo: near "release": syntax
error

Any sugestions?

Because the only possibility left ist 3) and I would not really like to buy
a netbook at the moment without having tested the software before;)

best regards
simon:)
