pidstat can help on this, but moblin didn't have this tool in repo, so you can copy one from other distros like fedora.
We had encountered similar issue in old system, but now it seemed work well. Which version moblin/platform are you using? Please post your result on this investigation if you like. -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of MEC Ken Sent: Monday, January 11, 2010 11:07 AM To: dev Subject: [Moblin Dev] Spin down disk for saving power Hi I'm trying to use "hdparm" to spin down disk for saving power. It works, but after a while the disk wakes up again (checked by "hdparm -C /dev/sda"). I guess some processes access disk in the background periodically. Does any one know why this happens or is there any tool can find out which process is accessing disk? -- 王志均 Ken Wang TEL : 886-2-6600-0100 ext. 540 FAX : 886-2-6606-1007 E-mail : [email protected] INSTITUTE FOR INFORMATION INDUSTRY Networks & Multimedia Institute Moblin Enabling Center 7F., No.133, Sec. 4, Minsheng E.
